Evan Davis DesigningBased out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sunlight homes is a second generation, family-owned, small business that has been providing visually stunning, eco-friendly home designs for over 40 years.

After earning his architecture degree from the University of New Mexico in 2007, Evan Davis, son of founder John Davis, has been the lead designer for Sunlight Homes. After growing up surrounded by architecture and home construction, one could say that home design is in Evan’s blood. He is a firm believer in green architecture principals, in addition to A Pattern Language design theory, having lived the majority of his life in various Sunlight homes designed using this approach.

Through this immersion into architecture, as well has his formal education, Evan has honed his natural talent and ability to design. In addition to his degree, Evan also carries a GB-98 Contractors license, which he uses his alongside his other training to design homes that smart and straightforward to build.

Evan also maintains a special interest in the latest architectural technologies, materials and methods, and maintains a commitment to remaining on the cutting-edge of home design by dvancing our processes and products as new developments are proven.

Using a cost tracking system provides accurate data throughout the design process, resulting in homes that are built within the clients’ predetermined budgets. Computerized, multi-media, 3-D visualizing tools make it easy for our clients and their builders to understand the details of their home before it is built, increasing their confidence in the process and resulting in very satisfied customers. We are effective at engaging our clients in the green design/build process through open communication and education. We are experts at organizing and presenting information in a way that is enjoyable and effective.
